Privacy Policy
This policy describes how RayDrop handles information when you share files on a local network, visit this website, or contact support.
Files and nearby devices
RayDrop sends files directly between devices on your local network over encrypted connections. File contents and the metadata needed for the transfer, such as file names, sizes and integrity hashes, are shared with the receiving device. The person controlling that device can access the files you send.
Nearby discovery shares a display name and connection information with other RayDrop devices on the network. Device identities help confirm peers and remember trusted devices. Avoid putting sensitive information in your display name.
RayDrop does not require a RayDrop account. File contents are not uploaded to our servers as part of a device-to-device transfer.
Information stored on your device
RayDrop stores settings, device identity information, remembered devices, transfer records and verification information locally. Temporary files and transfer journals support safe completion and recovery after interruption. Preparing selected files may also create local temporary copies. Received files are saved to the destination selected or configured by you.
You can manage received files through your operating system and remove remembered devices through the app. Uninstalling the app may leave files saved outside its private storage. Operating-system backups may include local app data depending on your settings. Unfinished transfer files may remain for recovery; do not delete them if you need to resume the transfer.
Permissions
- Local Network access allows nearby discovery and transfers.
- File and folder access allows reading selected files and saving received files.
- On iOS, the camera is used when you choose to scan a connection QR code.
- On iOS, Photos permission is used when you choose to save received photos or videos.
You can change permissions in system settings. Denying a permission can prevent its associated feature from working.
Desktop update services
Desktop copies distributed outside the Mac App Store may connect to configured update services to check for and download application updates. Those services receive network request information such as your IP address. File-transfer contents are not part of update requests. App Store versions receive application updates through Apple.
Support and website
If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and investigate the issue. Please do not send passwords, pairing secrets or unrelated private files. Contact us to request deletion of information you supplied; we will handle requests subject to applicable retention obligations.
When you visit this website, your browser sends connection information, including your IP address and browser request details, to the hosting service. The site saves your language preference in your browser's local storage. Its current frontend does not include advertising or analytics scripts. Hosting and email providers may process service logs under their own policies. These website requests are separate from direct device-to-device file transfers.

本机存储
设置、设备身份、已记住的设备、传输记录与校验信息保存在本机。临时文件和传输日志用于安全完成文件与中断恢复；准备所选文件也可能产生本地临时副本。接收文件保存在你选择或配置的目标位置。
你可以通过系统文件工具管理接收文件，通过应用管理已记住的设备。卸载应用不一定删除保存在应用私有目录以外的文件；系统备份也可能按你的设置包含本地应用数据。未完成的传输文件可能保留用于恢复，如需恢复任务，请勿自行删除。
权限
局域网权限用于发现与传输；文件和文件夹访问用于读取所选文件与保存接收文件。iOS 相机权限用于你主动选择的二维码扫描；照片权限用于你选择将接收的照片或视频保存到相册。你可以在系统设置中更改权限，拒绝权限可能使相应功能无法使用。
桌面更新服务
通过 Mac App Store 以外渠道分发的桌面版本可能连接配置的更新服务检查和下载应用更新。服务会收到 IP 地址等网络请求信息；更新请求不包含传输文件内容。App Store 版本通过 Apple 获取应用更新。
支持与官网
通过邮件联系支持时，我们会收到你的邮箱、消息和主动发送的附件，用于答复与排查。请勿发送密码、配对秘密或无关私人文件。你可以联系我们请求删除主动提供的信息，我们会结合适用的保留义务处理请求。
访问官网时，浏览器会向托管服务发送 IP 地址及浏览器请求信息。官网在浏览器本地保存语言偏好；当前网页前端未包含广告或分析脚本。托管与邮件服务商可能按其政策处理服务日志。网站请求与设备之间的直接文件传输相互独立。
